Emanuel & Sons
Emanuel got involved in the wrought iron business when his uncle was looking to retire. The uncle really didn’t want to sell the business out of the family, and he had no children. So he brought Emanuel and his brother Norman in.
Emanuel just turned 60 and isn't bashful about it. You can sense he's grateful for the life God has given him. I've lost count of the children and grandchildren he has, but there's quite a brood. At least two of his sons work with him in the business. He makes a number of the candle accessories that we feature, and we have plans to expand his product line. The thing he likes best about his business? "Getting orders!" He says with a mischievous smile.
His guilty pleasure? Anything that has to do with old steam engines. He just adores tinkering with them. He sheepishly tells me he owns more than one. Even though owning more than one steam engine isn't against any Amish rules he still has a twinkle in his eye!
