We may use the information we collect to periodically notify you about new services or special offers we think you'll find valuable. Almost Amish does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. Period.
We take security very seriously. Our website features our own- not a shared- 1,028 bit-encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate. It is a predominant security protocol on the Internet. This not only authenticates our identity to you, verifying that we are who we say we are, but it also gives you the confidence to send credit card and other personal information to our server. In addition, our website host is in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

We accept payment by the following methods:
Cash (In person only for local pick-ups)
Money Order (United States Postal Service Money Orders only)
Personal and Cashier’s Checks are subject to a 10-business day period for clearing purposes before we are able to ship the merchandise. Checks over $1,000.00 are submit to management review and will take a longer period of time to clear before we are able to ship.
We do not accept any American Express, Discover, and/or any PayPal transactions.

Because the majority of our items sold are made to order, even for standard offerings, we charge your card in full at the time of sale.
All items shipped to Pennsylvania addresses will be charged a 6% sales tax, if the item is considered taxable under Pennsylvania law. Shipping and handling on those items will also be subject to the 6% Sales Tax Code. Generally speaking, most food and apparel items are not taxable. Although it is unlikely, shipping within the United States (outside of Pennsylvania) may be subject to other states' sales tax.
We make every effort to ensure your satisfaction. Unless otherwise noted, many items ship within a few days. However, because our items are handcrafted, it is possible that an item may take longer. Notable exceptions to the few days turnaround are:
- Furniture usually takes 6-8 weeks.
- Custom furniture creations may take up to 10 – 12 weeks.
- Custom quilt creations may take 3 – 6 months.
We will first email you with a confirmation of your order, and will email you again when your item ships.
Most of our items are shipped via United States Postal Service or FedEx Home Delivery. Wagons ship via UPS Ground. We generally use ground shipping methods but can provide a quote for other, faster shipping methods for you. Please contact us to ascertain if a faster method is available for your items.
The heaviest furniture items are shipped by a freight service to be determined by us.
Combining Items for Lowest Shipping Costs
Normally, we hold all orders until all items are available to ship at once to ensure you the lowest possible shipping costs.
The following items ship separately regardless and will incur their own shipping expense:
- Wagons & wagon accessories
If you receive an email from us indicating that one of your ordered items is on back-order, you will have the option to pay for separate shipping costs.
Should you need to exchange or return an item, please email or phone us within 3 days of your receipt of the merchandise. Please contact us first before returning it to us. We ask that you return the item in its original condition. Unless you received the item in damaged or defective condition, refunds will be for the amount of the merchandise only. After we receive the returned merchandise and confirm its condition, we will reverse the charge to your credit card account or, if the purchase was made by check or money order, we will issue you a refund check.
In the unlikely event that you received an item in damaged or defective condition: please notify us within 3 days for regular items and 2 days for large items shipped by freight companies so that we may notify the shipper. Please keep all the packaging and the product, as either we or the shipper may need to examine the nature of the damage.
If we are not notified within this timeframe or the packaging is not kept, you may not be entitled to a refund.
We stand behind all our products and will be happy to work with you to resolve any problems to your satisfaction.
Full payment is due on all custom orders at time of order and before any work can proceed. Refunds on custom orders are at management’s discretion. When refunds are granted, it will be for store credit only. We stand by our craftsmen and craftswomen partners and will work to achieve your complete satisfaction.
